Representative Danica Roem joins us this week. Before becoming the first transgender person elected to the Virginia Assembly, she worked as a reporter for Brian. She and Brian catch up and discuss 2024, the strategies both parties will use, and whether they have hope for the future.
Danica Roem - Is an American journalist and politician. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She serves in the Virginia House of Delegates and has been elected to the Virginia Senate. In the 2017 elections, Roem ran for the House of Delegates, winning the Democratic primary for the 13th district on June 13, and the general election on November 7. She is the first openly transgender person to be elected to the Virginia General Assembly, and in January 2018 became the first openly transgender person to be elected and serve in a state legislature in U.S. history.
